Father's Day Foods:
1. Easy Grill Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1 box of Double Fudge Brownie mix
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/3 cup of oil
- 1 box of mike & ikes
- Black icing for writing
- 1 package of 4-inch lollipop sticks
- Nutella or chocolate sauce
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium bowl combine brownie mix, water, and oil. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes and pour batter into a greased muffin tin.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through. Remove from oven and let cool.
- While the brownies are cooling, grab a handful of mike & ikes and cut them into half-inch chunks and place them on a skewer; they should resemble a kabob.
- Use the black icing writing tip and draw three lines on the red mike & ikes to form a "hot dog."
- Spread a spoonful of nutella onto a brownie muffin and carefully insert 3 lollipop sticks into the bottom, creating the grill legs.
- Top the brownie muffin with the mike & ike kabobs and hot dogs; enjoy eating and displaying these brownie grills at your father's day party!
2. Chili & Cornbread Bread Bowl
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of Cornbread mix
- 1 cup of water
- Chili (we recommend this recipe)
- Sour cream
- Cheddar cheese
- Chives
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl combine cornbread mix and water. Stir until well incorporated and pour into 3 greased 4-inch cake pans. Bake in the oven for 35 - 45 minutes, or until cooked through.
- If you're making chili, begin the chili now.
- Remove the cornbread from the oven and let cool. Use a spoon and remove the center of the cornbread bread bowl.
- Fill with chili and top with sour cream, cheese, and chives (or whatever father's day toppings your family prefers) and enjoy!
3. D-A-D Pancakes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Protein Pancake mix
- 2 cups of water
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Whipped Cream (optional)
Directions:
- Combine pancake mix and water in a bowl; once well mixed, use a funnel and pour into a squeeze bottle with a small spout.
- Using the squeeze bottle, write "DAD" in pancake batter on a preheated griddle. Cook through and flip.
- Top your father's day pancakes with sprinkles, whipped cream, or the syrup of your choice.
4. Chicken & Waffle Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Belgian Waffle mix
- 2 cups of water
- 4 strips of fried chicken
- Condiments of your choice
Directions:
- Preheat the mini waffle maker. In a small bowl, combine the waffle mix and water. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into a greased waffle maker (to prevent it from sticking and becoming difficult to remove - trust us on this) and cook until steam stops coming out of the waffle maker.
- Repeat 7 times (or until you have 2 for every chicken strip you have).
- Place a chicken strip on top of a waffle and top with the condiment of your choice. Place another waffle on top and enjoy a bite of your father's day chicken & waffle sandwich.
5. Pancake Breakfast Sliders
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of Classic Pancake mix
- 3 cups of water
- 6 sausage patties (frozen)
- 6 eggs
- 6 slices of cheese
Directions:
- Combine pancake mix and water in a small bowl. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto a preheated griddle and let cook.
- While the pancakes are cooking, warm up the sausage patties in the microwave and make 6 sunnyside-up eggs in a skillet.
- Once cooked, flip the pancakes and remove them from the griddle. Place on a cooling rack while you're waiting for the rest of the ingredients. Repeat until the pancake batter is finished.
- To make a father's day breakfast slider, stack a pancake, sausage patty, slice of cheese, and egg on top of each other. When you're ready to eat, top with a pancake; placing the pancake on top prematurely might cause the egg to burst early and make it soggy. Enjoy with ketchup, siracha, or whatever condiments you choose!
