Easy After School Brownie Oreo Cake Pops

Easy After School Brownie Oreo Cake Pops

We love St. Patrick's day and are so excited to launch a series of holiday themed recipes! Out of all of the ones we created, these brownie oreo cake pops are honestly one of our favorites. It's so easy to make and the bite size proportions mean you can indulge without accidentally eating the entire batch (though you can easily eat them in one sitting - they're that good).

As you can see, we made ours green for the holiday, but you can make them any color you want. We also decided to add gold sprinkles to the top in order to make these brownie oreo cake pops look a little like those pots of gold leprechauns supposedly leave lying around at the end of rainbows. While we all wish they were real pots of gold, these delicious treats are a great compromise!

  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 3/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 package of oreos (crushed)
  • 1 cup of melting chocolate (or chocolate chips)
  • cake pop sticks
  • gold sprinkles

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Pour brownie mix into a large mixing bowl and add water and vegetable oil. Stir on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 25 – 30 minutes.
  4. Once baked, remove from oven and spoon brownies into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add in desired amount of crushed oreos and stir until well combined.
  6. Once it’s cool enough to handle, scoop a tablespoon of cake pop batter into your palm and roll around to form a ball shape. Place on cookie sheet.
  7. Repeat until the batter is gone. Freeze for 1 hour.
  8. Melt the chocolate in a bowl and then dip the frozen brownie balls into the chocolate. If you want a flat bottom, place an plain chocolate disk into the wet chocolate and let harden on a cookie sheet or wax paper.
  9. Use a lighter to heat the flat chocolate disk and dip into gold sprinkles. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for all brownie balls.
  10. Freeze until chocolate hardens and enjoy your brownie oreo cake pops!
