The Perfect Peanut Butter Bars

Soft and chewy peanut butter bars with the creamiest chocolate topping. There is no way just one small square would suffice and honestly, we wouldn't blame you for eating the whole pan (we just might 😉), and today we are telling you how it's done. 
Years ago Lehi Mills offered the most decadent Peanut Butter Bars, and while that mix has since been retired, we're telling you how to make them from scratch, just like they used to in the good ol' days. We're combining the finest ingredients for the most delicious treat. What's the most important ingredient, you ask? You got it, Lehi Mills high-quality All Purpose Peacock Flour. 

Peanut Butter Bars


1 1/2 cups softened butter
1 1/2 cups sugar 
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
3 eggs 
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
3 cups Lehi Mills Peacock Flour
3 cups rolled oats 
2 cups chocolate chips


Up to 2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp peanut butter
Drop of vanilla
4 to 8 Tbsp milk



  1. Preheat the oven to 325*F
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine baking soda, salt, flour, and rolled oats.  
  4. Combine together both mixtures.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and while still hot, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  7. Leave for 5 minutes, allowing the chocolate to melt, before spreading evenly, then allow to cool.
  8. Mix frosting then spread over cooled chocolate layer.
